Abstract Sculpture in Black Enameled Ceramic with slight luster. Weight is 6 lbs and stands roughly 17 inches tall. Heavily in the style of Georges Jouve, a renowned French ceramist. We first believed it to be his work, however, he tends to sign the bottom of his pieces. 

Ours here has no signature. While many of his pieces do bear his signature or mark symbol, there are also some works that do not. I've been told that the presence or absence of his mark or signature does not necessarily impact the authenticity or value of his works. However I've had a hard time finding this or similar example without. The most recent COMP sold in the form of ours, without markings, was sold for $400 in 2023 at auction.
